I am a first-year PhD student in Literary Studies at Georgia State University. My research interests are: African-American Literature (Harlem Renaissance, Black Arts Movement, Crime/Mystery, and Science Fiction), Black Feminist Theory, and African-American film.

This blog is an annotated bibliography and serves as the basis for a research project for English 8125: Writing and Research Methodology. This project will focus on the perceptions of Generation X African-American women on Blaxploitation films, particularly those marketed toward African-American women and those featuring African-American women in lead roles.
